Asus Ez Flash 2 Not Detecting Usb

1. ensure enable usb legacy support is enabled in the bios. 2. format your usb stick to fat (not fat32). initially i formatted my 4gb usb stick fat32, and ez flash 2 did not detect the media, just an a: and c: drive. then i formatted with fat and ez flash 2 detected the drive, loaded the *.bin from www.asus.com and flashed the bios successfully.. Asus ez flash 2 doesn't see usb i can't continue the bios update asus h 170 pro is the motherboard and i thought that is a good idea to update the bios (after that i've realised that was not) i've copied the bios update file (h170-pro-asus-1803.cap) to a 4gb flash fat32 and hit update.. [solved] having problems with asus ez flash2. this is a discussion on [solved] having problems with asus ez flash2 within the motherboards, bios & cpu forums, part of the tech support forum category. so, i downloaded the latest bios, put it on freshly dos formatted usb drive, went through bios to the utility.

6) enter bios and go to the ez flash utility to update the bios hopefully, the bios flash file(s) should show up, if the aforementioned steps are followed. the problem was most likely due to slight differences in how the mbr or partition tables were written to the usb drive.. So i downloaded the 3603 bios update, formatted my 512mb usb stick to fat32, extracted the bios update file (the .rom file) onto the usb and restarted my computer and got in to the ez flash 2 utility. but when i was going to select the .rom file, it said that "selected file is not a uefi bios"..
