You can edit root files using a pc because root files are located in the system location and you can’t get access to the system location of android by just connecting with the pc. there is an only way to edit root files on android is to root your android device then you can modify any system file on android.. Edit build.prop file on android with root. it make very simple to edit build.prop file on android device, if device have root access.all you have to do is just install an application, i.e already available on google play store officially.. Hey doron447, welcome to the androidforums! i haven't used root explorer myself (but i hear its very good), but i've used es file explorer and it has a root-explorer option to allow the /system filesystem (partition) to be remounted in read-write mode, which i'm speculating might be the issue here..
